A: No, Dickens World has completely changed for the new 2013 season. You must book in for a tour slot.
Q: Why have you changed Dickens World?
A: We have listened to our customer feedback and looked at the direction of our business. We have decided to go with a new, fresh approach to how we now operate.
Q: Why can we not walk around Dickens World freely anymore?
A: Feedback and research told us that customers wanted more for their money, they wanted more information about Charles Dickens and about the Victorian/Dickensian ways of life. We therefore decided that a guided tour conducted by professional actors would offer the educational yet funny and interactive experience that our customers are looking for.
Q. What are your open times?
A: Throughout October & November we will be open Monday to Sunday only from 10:00am until 17:30pm with the last tour leaving at 15:30pm. On some days, tours will not run as often as normal as we may have large school groups or parties that are pre booked for the day, meaning we have limited availability. Please call at least 24 hours in advance in order to book your tour. We do create walk - in slots on most days but we cannot guarantee availbality.
